Morning Market View - 16/07/2010
The in principle approval by SEBI to allow exchanges to introduce physical settlement of Futures & Options transactions will go a long way in broadening the base and depth of the F&O segment and also assist in stock lending and borrowing mechanism to pick up. Markets likely to stay range bound and consolidate for sometime before we manage to get the next leg up of this bull rally. Individual stock out performance especially from the mid cap space is likely to dominate proceedings. Good time for active investors and traders to reshuffle their portfolios and make a quick buck on stocks showing a fresh break out. We are entering that phase of the market where momentum matters more than fundamentals. For long term investors though our suggestion is to start booking profits and gradually increase liquidity in their portfolios.
