Dip in markets a buying opportunity?

We are of the opinion that the broad trend in the markets still remains very firm. The current weakness may be used as an opportunity to buy some shares which have corrected and are likely to go much higher once the sentiment reverses again. Some of the stocks which have fallen today and present good buying opportunity are SBI, L & T, JP Associates, Hindustan Dorr Oliver, Engineers India, Polaris and IVRCL Infra. Frontline stocks in the IT, banking and metal sectors as well as select stocks in the engineering, auto and FMCG space present good buying opportunities on any further dips. Buying may be spread over a number of days to ensure that any further weakness in markets may provide further benefits to the investor. Also buying should be done keeping at least a six months holding period in mind as choppiness and further weakness in the very near term cannot be ruled out.
